Just before dinner tonight Elsa and I moved to the pediatric floor, so no more ICU. Unfortunately, it makes the iCU look like the Ritz Carlton. My room is smaller and really quite crappy. I also think I've hit an emotional wall and this is the first time I've cried since before Elsa was born. I knew these hormones would kick in at some point. Skyping with the family tonight was just painful. It's so hard not being home and sitting in such a shitty place. The couch in my room was so gross I had to request a new one.
The mucus is still pretty think so she's still getting breathing treatments and getting is sucked out. I am going to nurse her tonight so hopefully that will go smoothly. As of now, it looks like maybe Thursday we will go home. They said the RSV virus is a long drawn out one. She's on oxygen still too.
I hate being on a new floor. I feels like I just started a new school again. At least this is the route to go home...
