string quilt

I have all 20 blocks pieced together for Gretchen's quilt. I just love how it turned out and can't wait to start quilting it sometime. This will be straight-lined quilted following the diamond shape. Yippie!

Gretchen's String Quilt

Fabric is Patricia Bravo's Paradise Collection. I used 18 fat quarters but came a little short on the fabric so I would suggest using 19 or 20 fat quarters for this size. It finishes at 46" x 57.5" - I used 12" blocks and scrapbooking paper to complete the paper piecing method. Each block should finish at 11.5". Stay tuned!
