What a fun Christmas it has been. Charlotte got really into unwrapping the presents. She wanted to unwrap everybody's gifts. She was a good little girl at Great Grandma Burton's house as it turned into a long afternoon. On Saturday we headed up to Green Bay to stay at Grandma LaPean's for a week. Christmas there was a blast. Charlotte got to spend lots of time with Aunt Laura.
Charlotte has been a good sleeper this week. We were not sure as being out-of-town has thrown her off kilter a few times. There should be lots of video up on the Flickr site (link to the right). We hope to see more family this Saturday for Daddy's 30th birthday bash at Mom and Dad's house in Suamico.
At 9.5 months, Charlotte is becoming quite the sassy pants. She knows when you take something away or say "no." It's starting! We can't believe we are so close to one year old. Charlotte is army crawling all over the place, but luckily she's very slow. She seems to like the TV stand with the DVDs the most. Good thing we invested in a heavy stand, not a moment too soon. She is pulling up on the couch and her toy box all the time. Here's a photo of her stuck ON the toy box. I know Christmas will be a fun one this year. Note to all family members, watch out for those delicate pieces on the tables!
She sure is a bundle of love. She's been sleeping better at night. I'm sorry to say I've stopped breastfeeding. Charlotte is now on formula for the last 2.5 months. She has so much personality, it's just a blast being around her.
Yesterday Charlotte pulled up on the couch (from the floor) three times in a row. She is also dragging herself along the floor (army crawling). I fear my home will not be a peaceful place anymore. She is mobile!
Charlotte is 9 months old! We can't believe how big she is. Yesterday she sat on Santa's lap and didn't cry or smile. She just looked at him and thought, "Who are you and why do you look so funny?" In the photo she has a deer in headlights look, but nonetheless, we have a photo! She did look adorable in her Christmas dress. Below, she's getting a bath in the sink up at the cabin.
Charlotte is three and has been a perfect addition to our family. With so much personality and spunk, this kid is one to watch. Gretchen is now one but think she's three. We love our girls!
