first thanksgiving

What an interesting November it was! Now 9 months old, Charlotte is getting more and more of a personality. She just loves being a part of the PARTY, which sometimes has it consequences. We were up north for opening deer hunting weekend and planned on staying up there for Thanksgiving too. Charlotte would NOT sleep for us at the cabin. After 4 days of no sleep we ended up coming home early. Charlotte just wanted to be a part of everything that was going on, however, this cause her to be over-tired which makes things even worse.

So, we spent Thanksgiving at my mom's house (which meant a day of work for me). There were 18 people and we had a feast of food. Above Charlotte is the baby turkey getting ready to be cooked. She sure is the light of the party!

We see the doctor on Wednesday for her 9 month check-up. I can't wait to see how big she is getting. Hard to imagine she is only 3 months away from being one! Tuesday we will visit Santa so stay tuned for photos.

almost mobile

Charlotte is on her way to becoming mobile. She loves the little car my cousin passed down to her. Charlotte can scoot backwards on it and thinks the controls are just great. I'm dreading the day I have to let her drive a REAL car.

After lots of work, I finally got Charlotte to hold herself up on all fours. She's not crawling or scooting yet, but this was a big step. I am sure by Christmas we'll have her moving around (which will be bad for mom). Keep an eye out, here Charlotte comes!

finally, a photo of the teeth

I've had a hard time getting a photo of Charlotte's two bottom teeth because she opens her mouth for photos! Here they are. They have come in pretty far. I don't feel any others right now.

She is eating solid foods about 3x a day. The newest ones are lentils, yogurt and spices like cinnamon. Charlotte loves eating and is 17 lbs. 1.4 oz.
